Room Preparation for Living Room Painting
Your living room is your space and lots of times it has valuables and important pieces in it.
Before we come to paint, we ask that you remove all decorations and pictures from your walls. We also recommend any precious or breakable items be removed from the room before we start working. All windows and storm windows should also be closed.
We move all furniture to the center of the room and cover it with plastic sheeting. The floors are also covered with a canvas drop cloth. We do this to ensure none of your personal items become damaged.
To prepare your walls to be painted, we remove all electrical face plates, hand scrape and sand the area, and caulk and putty holes, cracks, and voids. For nail holes, we confirm with you if you want them filled or not. If you plan on rehanging your decorations and pictures in the same places, you may wish for us to keep the nails and holes.
As an added bonus, we make any minor carpentry repairs including nailing in loose moldings at no additional cost. We also apply a finishing coat to all trim work!
Clean-Up After Living Room Painting
Once our paint job is complete, we walk you through for a final inspection and do any necessary touch-ups.
After your personal approval, we remove all tools and equipment from the room. Then, we sweep, vacuum, and return the room to its original state. It’s like we were never there!
